1st Qualifying Round Men’s Championship

A good field of 16 contested the first qualifying round of the Men’s Championship yesterday.

Coming off a break (like a good racehorse), Mark Wheal led the field with a Gross 89 / Nett 72.

A three-way countback was required to determine the runner-up. The result was Log from Cookie then Logan all on 74.

Single birdies were recorded by, Log & Cookie (2nd), Logan (5th) & Jason W & Alex Wezza (11th).

Logan earnt another shot in the Adam (Goog) Walker NTP Shoot next Sunday with his drive into the 6th.

Ginge took the NTP on the 9th.

Next Sunday is the BGC Open Pinehurst Championship. The competition is Open to all registered players, so get a team together. Early registrations preferred. Call Rowdy (0488 445 363) or Kay (0407 886 036). 11am for 11.30am tee off. Sauge sizzle available before tee off.

The final of the Adam “Goog” Walker Shootout will be held after on completion of the Pinehurst.

Remember, the AGM is to be held on Thursday 20th at 7.30pm at the clubrooms. All positions are open. Your attendance is critical to the future of the club.
