Sunday 22nd December – Stroke
Christmas is nigh.
Friday night, BGC held their Xmas dinner. Around 60 patrons enjoyed a great meal & convivial atmosphere to share & celebrate the festive season.
A big thanks to the girls in the kitchen. They surpassed themselves with the presentation of the tables & the scrumptious meal, which helped create the festive atmosphere.
Today, it was great to see some of the “ole home boys” returning for Xmas & catching up with their mates & reminiscing about the “good ole days” (which probably turned their parents hair grey) at the club. Welcome home Tim W & Daniel G.
A good field of 19 contested a stroke round in “4 season” conditions. Bit of wind, bit of rain, bit of sun & heat.
Welcome to visitors Tim Watson (Margaret River), Luke Cameron (Albany) & Jamie Bellinger (Millicent) to the field.
Welcome also to members from away Steve Harris & Gerard Cameron.
Leading today’s field was Steve Harris (Gross 85 / Net70) from Cooper (82/72) on a countback from Log (83/72). Good results given the varying conditions.
For the second week in a row, Brendan Freeman won the NTP.
Apart from Shane S glad to be off the course & having a beer, no other players had any stories to tell.
Next Friday’s Twilight Golf is being sponsored by Stef & Baz. The comp is a 2 Ball Ambrose.
Winner will share a box of beer, Runners-up a 1/2 a box & 6 packs for NTP’s on 6th, 8th & 9th. Come along & have some fun.
The club rooms will be open from 10am to 2pm from Boxing Day until the end of the holiday
period to enjoy a relaxing drink mid & after your rounds.
Have a great Xmas.
