After a bit of a hiatus, Tales from the Trees has emerged once again from the woods.
13 players contested todays Stableford comp with Rob Carter leading the field with 39 pts. This despite an “airy” in his group, although he wouldn’t identify the culprit. Perhaps my inference from his comment is misguided.
Runner up on a count back was Alex Wesolowski with 37pts, despite having a few holes where his “draw” could be described as a “HOOK”. Chris Carr was 3rd who had the privilege of out driving new President Goog all day.
Varcs won NTP on the 9th/18th.
Cooper had birdies on the 5th & 10th.
Ducky had a birdie/ferret on the 5th & a ferret on the 12th. Unfortunately, his 4 on the 5th turned into a 10 on the 14th.
Lucky Ducky is not a racehorse. as he’s doesn’t come back well after a “spell”.
Out of Bounds beat birdies today with Varcs & Ducky on the 2nd & Log & Ducky on the 14th.
Isaac Chambers played some great shots today, particularly his 3rd from behind the trees about 100m out on the 16th to finish about 30cm from the pin.
Cooper was over the back of the 5th for 2 (with a little help from the road on his drive) & was able to par the hole.
It’s great to see these young players, Cooper, Alex & Isaac on the course & watch their skills develop. Well done guys.
After 3 or 4 weeks, you’d think someone would tell Captain Phil that there is a temporary green in play on the 4th. So why did he end up in the bunker next to the renovated 4th green?
Just a reminder, the Snakebite Kit is in the defibrillator box next to the front door of the clubhouse. Hopefully the only “snake” we see is that next “snaked” putt we’d all like to brag about.
Have a great week.
