Sunday 7th January, Stableford

Despite a bit of tree trouble, resulting in an “airy”, Andy Varcoe was able to lead the field of 13 into the clubhouse in Sunday’s Stableford round with 37pts.

Stef also had to own up to a “practice” shot, but his end result wasn’t as fulfilling.

Runner up was Mark Pretty with 36pts. This included a birdie on the 11th for 2pts. We of the high handicaps, cannot contemplate scoring only 2 pts for a birdie. Oh, to be able to play good golf.

3rd was Adam (Goog) Walker with 35pts.

Players to have birdies were, Mark Pretty (4th, 5th, 11th), Stef (5th), Cookie (9th), Rowdy (6th) & the winner Andy V (2nd). Well done guys.

I hear “Ginge’s Tree” on the left of the 8th, may have to be renamed after Bill Mullan drove 3 tee shots into it. We do strive for consistency!

Weekly NTP winner (18th) was Rowdy, who was also the first player to record a NTP on the 6th for the NTP Shoot Out to be held in March.

Next Sunday’s competition is the MacGregor Builders Trophy Stroke round. Hope you can make it & show support for our sponsor.
